Directions for Boat Trips

Our boat trips operate from Port Buchan in Broxburn.

Coming from the East (Edinburgh and the M9), take the road towards Broxburn. Go straight through Broxburn’s main street (A899), through the traffic lights. You will see a hump in the road ahead of you, this is the canal bridge where the road goes over the canal. As you reach the peak of this bridge, you will see a turning on the right. If you come to another set of traffic lights with a fire station on the left, you've gone too far!

Coming from the West (Livingston and the M8, J3A), take the A899 towards Broxburn. Go straight through Uphall’s main street, go straight on at the traffic lights where Strathbrock Centre will be signposted on your right. Through the next set of traffic lights where you'll see the fire-station on your right just after the junction. You will see a hump in the road ahead of you where the road goes over the canal. Take the turning on the left just past the bus-stop.

Parking is not restricted and you can usually park alongside the canal, but this is a residential street so please be considerate of local residents.
